CCPT is a developmentally responsive, play-based therapeutic intervention for young children who present with emotional, social, and behavioral concerns. Play therapy utilizes play, children's natural medium of expression, to help them express their feelings through toys instead of words. In CCPT, a play therapist provides a safe relationship and environment where children experience unconditional acceptance, understanding, and empathy which allows children to freely express their internal world. This nurturing relationship is the key factor for creating meaningful and long-term change. Research outcomes include decreased symptomatic behaviors and improvement in overall functioning.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Music Industry from Houghton University in 2018 and am currently pursuing my master’s in Social Work at the University of Texas at San Antonio, with plans to graduate in 2025. I’ve had the privilege of working with children and families navigating challenging circumstances, including homelessness and complex trauma.

Welcome! I’m Jannette More, a licensed master social worker (LMSW) based in Texas. I earned my master’s degree in clinical social work from Western New Mexico University in Silver City, New Mexico. I have experience working with children and older adults and I am committed to supporting individuals and families on their journeys toward healing and growth.

Under the supervision of Dr. Mónica Rodríguez Delgado, PhD, LPC, RPT-S, I provide play therapy sessions in both Spanish and English, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

I embrace a person-centered perspective, grounded in the belief that every individual possesses an innate motivation for positive well-being. My passion lies in helping children navigate their world and develop in a way that promotes healing, resilience, and confidence. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where children and families can feel seen, understood, and empowered.

My husband is currently serving in the United States Air force, and we have been happily married for 15 years. We are the proud parents of an intelligent, silly, beautiful ten-year-old girl who keeps our lives busy and exciting. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, running, and family board game nights.
